CariSecure is a United Nations Development Programme crime prevention initiative active in the East Caribbean and Barbados. It seeks to reduce 'youth crime'. In order to accomplish this goal it has set up an interoperable PRMIS (Police Records Management System). Though it is a low grade system from Softengi, evidence shows that in practice that ACRO UK has helped to run biometrics on the system also. Softengi is an AI company. It is possible that the system was set up in such a way that it can be run through other predictive policing software. The programme crosses 8 countries and benefits from funding from USAID, as well as the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development
Office (UK FCDO) and the ACRO Criminal Records Office. +

The system includes cameras that meet police quality standards and have the capability to create heatmaps to monitor crowd densities. These cameras can also distinguish between different demographics such as gender and age. Additionally, they have the ability to assess moods. ViNotion offered their CrowdDynamics analysis during PSV's championship celebration to enhance safety by analyzing visitor flows. This technology is regularly employed in the Stratumseind 2.0 project and was part of an experimental initiative by Eindhoven 247 in collaboration with City Beacon during the event. +
In 2021, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) made itself known for using Clearview AI’s facial recognition software to recognize sexual abuse victims in the end of 2019 and start of 2020. 120 searches were made by four NBI officers during a free demo period. Neither NBI’s leadership nor the National Police Board were aware of this experiment – it came up over a year later when Buzzfeed News contacted the organization in March 2021. After that, the police reported the experiment and a possible data breach to the Data Protection Ombudsman who later gave a notice to NBI. +
