ويشتمل المشروع على تركيب كاميرات مراقبة مثبتة عند تقاطع الطرق والشوارع العامة والأماكن الحساسة أمنيا ونظام اتصالات متكامل ومركز للتحكم مجهز بأحدث التقنيات التي تمكنه من مراقبة مدينة نواكشوط بكاملها وخمس سيارات متنقلة للرقابة والتحكم عن بعد للتنقل بين الولايات. 1

وسيتم تشييد مبنى داخل إدارة الأمن تتم من خلاله المراقبة العامة للكاميرات، كما سيتم التنسيق مع الإدارات الجهوية للأمن داخل العاصمة. 2

وتم تمويل مشروع “نظام الحماية والمراقبة العمومية لمدينة نواكشوط” أشرف على تدشينه الرئيس الموريتاني، محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، من طرف حكومة جمهورية الصين الشعبية بغلاف مالي يصل ستةَ مليارات و294 مليون أوقية قديمة.4
