Description[edit | ]
The dataset presumably contains information about all inhabitants of Guinea.
Through a face recognition upgrade, the biometric registry solution could perform 1-to-all facial identification for every voter, include face and fingerprints in the biometric voter profile, and conduct an extra identity check inside the same voting center. The detected duplicates were then removed to prevent multiple voting.
After checking for duplicates, the photos in the registry were also analyzed by the AI to identify minors. Every voter gets a ‘minor score’, and the threshold can be adjusted accordingly to remove underage enrollees from the register. As a result, more than 200,000 ineligible voters, which includes duplicates and minors, have been selected and removed from the electoral register. 1
