It shows that Clearview AI has expanded to at least 26 countries outside the US, engaging national law enforcement agencies, government bodies, and police forces in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

"Die Kantonspolizei St. Gallen hat ein Projekt zur Evaluation von Gesichtserkennungssoftware durchgeführt", erklärte der dortige Mediensprecher. "Dabei wurden mehrere Anbieter getestet. Clearview AI war nicht unter den offiziell getesteten Produkten. Wir haben über 1000 Mitarbeiter und ich kann keine Auskunft über einzelne Aktionen geben. Die Kantonspolizei St. Gallen als Institution hat Clearview AI weder getestet noch eingesetzt."

Von der Stadtpolizei Zürich heisst es: "Wir haben uns bei der Finanzabteilung der Stadtpolizei Zürich und bei der digitalen Forensik erkundigt. In den letzten drei Jahren haben wir nie eine Clearview-Software gekauft oder für deren Nutzung bezahlt. Die Abteilung Digitale Forensik der Stadtpolizei hat keine Kenntnis davon, dass Mitarbeiter Clearview AI verwenden oder verwendet haben. Wir können jedoch nicht ausschliessen, dass sich jemand mit seiner E-Mail-Adresse bei der Stadtverwaltung Zürich angemeldet und das Tool privat genutzt hat."
