Description[edit | ]
As of November 2020, the implementation of FR in offence proceedings is underway and is expected to be finalised sometime during 2021. Once implemented, the National Forensic Centre (NFC), part of the Swedish Police Authority, will have the capability to search facial images against the national mugshot database. The database was digitised in 2014, and currently contains around 60 000 entries, with a yearly increase of approximately 10 000. 1
