The GACI is concerned with communications and information technology affairs and represents the highest authority responsible for the telecommunications sector in Libya. Its headquarters is located in the city of Tripoli (the headquarters of the General Post and Telecommunications Company). It was able to achieve many achievements by linking the various regions of Libya after the communications infrastructure was cut off and sabotaged during the months of the revolution, in addition to restoring communications, postal and Internet services, and completing some important strategic projects in an effort to contribute In the Reunion and Reconstruction of Libya.
