Description[ ]
The New Orleans Police Department opened its real-time crime center in November 2017 as a part of the $40-million Citywide Public Safety Improvement Plan. As of December 2018, the RTCC employs a staff of 18 and accesses more than 340 cameras. In February 2018, there were plans to spend another $2.5 million on cameras and installation, including 120 automated license plate readers and up to 250 more cameras. 1
