Description[ ]

Swinburne University of Technology uses Milestone VMS and has facial recognition in place to detect students who are barred from campus. Imagus said that the deployment has helped them to enhance their accuracy and narrow down their overall database.

The Imagus Facial Recognition Technology (Imagus FRT), developed by Brian Lovell ‘The Godfather of Facial Recognition Technology’ delivers accurate results for facial detection, recording, matching and recognition through advanced algorithms, even with poorly lit, poor quality, angled or obstructed samples. Imagus Technology, a global leader in advanced intelligent surveillance, image analysis and computer vision technology, recently complete a project with Swinburne University in Melbourne. The project involved creating a facial recognition system using best of breed technologies. To achieve this, Imagus worked with NVIDIA and Milestone to create a state-of-the art system capable of meeting the security needs of the busy university campus at one of Australia’s most prestigious education institutions. In this short video case, we show how Imagus Facial Recognition Technology (Imagus FRT), developed by Brian Lovell ‘The Godfather of Facial Recognition Technology’ delivers accurate results for facial detection, recording, matching and recognition through advanced algorithms, even with poorly lit, poor quality, angled or obstructed samples 1
