The Banco Nacional de Comercio de Timor-Leste (BNCTL) is bringing iris recognition technology to Timor-Leste in partnership with IrisGuard and EyeTrust LDA. This will allow people to use ATMs and other financial services through iris recognition. The hope is that this development makes financial services and government welfare distribution more accessible. The software used is EyePay Network and EyePay Phone. |

BNCTL (Banco Nacional de Comércio de Timor-Leste) signs an agreement with IrisGuard and EyeTrust LDA for the deployment of IrisGuard’s EyePay® Network payment platform, powered by their award-winning iris recognition technology. Timor-Leste is the youngest sovereign nation in Southeast Asia and this authentication and payment authorisation platform, featuring the recently launched EyePay® Phone, will be utilized to verify and secure the last mile of financial transactions in counters/branches and at ATMs. 2
