Maine’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles has stated that it will respond to face recognition inquiries from FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with the approval of the Secretary of State’s Division of Enforcement. It will also “cooperate with Maine law enforcement agencies,” as long as the request is “justified.” 1
