|Summary=Innovatrics ABIS is helping digitize paper files of the Guinean police. “The automatization brought by ABIS will shorten the time needed for identification from hours to seconds, and it will be made available to all police stations in the country,” Juraj Stubner, responsible for the delivery of the system, explains. Any new fingerprint loaded into the ABIS is immediately checked against existing records, instantly notifying the user of potential matches in open cases. The accuracy of biometrics allows us to prevent judicial errors and will greatly help us in administering justice,” he adds. Innovatrics is also providing the required training and know-how necessary for the police to efficiently use ABIS for their intended purposes. Innovatrics is a trusted provider of ABIS and other biometric solutions founded in 2004.
}}

Innovatrics, a trusted provider of biometric solutions, has successfully deployed its Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) in the initial stage of cooperation with Guinea’s police force. They will now be able to utilize computer power to quickly identify criminals by their fingerprints. Along with digitizing their paper files, ABIS also allows them to enroll new records into the database significantly faster through dedicated fingerprint scanners. Digital enrollment makes it much simpler to collect biometric samples.

In the first phase, the system, fully developed and deployed by Innovatrics, will work with fingerprints and palm prints and will also be used for digitizing existing paper files. Afterwards, facial recognition and remote access for identification in the field will be added. The revolutionary part of the whole solution is ensuring the capabilities of ABIS are spread out and readily utilized in all parts of the country with access to the central database.

Any new fingerprint loaded into the ABIS is immediately checked against existing records, instantly notifying the user of potential matches in open cases. An adjudication tool has been developed to allow a forensic expert for side-by-side analysis of potentially matching fingerprints. It allows them to annotate matches, accurately measure their sizes, compare partial latent fingerprints, and much more. [[CiteRef::innovatricsInnovatricsABISBolsters2022]]
|Summary=The Government of Guinea used Innovatrics Face Recognition system for its elections. Through a face recognition upgrade, the biometric registry solution could perform 1-to-all facial identification for every voter, include face and fingerprints in the biometric voter profile, and conduct an extra identity check inside the same voting center. The detected duplicates were then removed to prevent multiple voting. After checking for duplicates, the photos in the registry were also analyzed by the AI to identify minors. As a result, more than 200,000 ineligible voters, which includes duplicates and minors, have been selected and removed from the electoral register.
}}

Supporting the ID4Africa Movement to establish identity-for-all, Innovatrics has presented how deploying its proprietary face recognition technology benefited the recently concluded Guinea elections.

According to Innovatrics Head of Government Solutions, Matus Kapusta, a complete solution was designed to uphold the ‘one man, one vote’ principle. Two problems were specifically addressed: voters with 2 valid voter’s cards and children registered on voter’s lists.

Every voter gets a ‘minor score’, and the threshold can be adjusted accordingly to remove underage enrollees from the register. As a result, more than 200,000 ineligible voters, which includes duplicates and minors, have been selected and removed from the electoral register.

The system was successfully audited by experts from the independent body, ECOWAS-CEDEAO, giving credibility to Guinea’s electoral register. The voter’s card is also widely accepted as a general ID, reflecting Innovatrics’ contribution to develop responsible identity ecosystems in the service of development and humanitarian action for Africa and beyond. |Summary=Senegal Blaise Diagne International Airport starts facial recognition. The intrusions will be signaled with alerts so that the gendarmerie and the companies' personnel can react in real time. The video surveillance with facial recognition will also make it possible to monitor operations with cameras of various types installed throughout the airport. The system will use a special dataset created for the airport with the use of the UN's and Internporl's databases.
Blaise Diagne de Diass International Airport (AIBD), airport in the Senegalese capital Dakar, will be equipped with video surveillance with facial recognition. The video surveillance with facial recognition will also make it possible to monitor operations with cameras of various types installed throughout the airport. In addition to facial recognition, the system will make it possible to identify people as soon as they enter the bottlenecks that have been defined.

[CiteRef::znvZTENetViewCreates2022]]
|managed by=Huawei
|used by=Mauritius Police Force
|Datasets Used=Unknown Dataset 0165
|Software Deployed=Safe City Software by Huawei
|Summary=Mauritius had insufficient results to handle its security needs, primarily due to the growing number of urbanised cities in the country. As a result, Police Force of the country, together with Chinese Huawei launched the Safe City system in the country. It covers multiple cities and involves deploying different systems, in particular cameras with facial recognition technology, to increase the safety levels of the island. The Safe City system includes facial recognition technology, video analysis providing intelligent search, information for incident investigations.
}}

In the project’s early stages, Huawei and MT (Mauritius Telecom) succeeded in simulating the scenarios of theft of tourists’ goods or vehicles, covering the following processes: incident reporting, call taking, dispatching, image-based investigation (video playback, facial recognition, and reverse search), and suspect and suspicious-vehicle surveillance. The demonstration greatly impressed the MPF and Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Land Transport.
Delivery of the project’s first phase is currently underway, with completion expected in 2019. Once the project is successfully delivered, the solution will provide visualized command and efficient collaboration for the MPF (Mauritius Police Force) and Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Land Transport. Emergency response time (call taking and dispatching) will be reduced to less than 15 minutes, the emergency handling efficiency will be improved by 60 percent, and the linkage between the Safe City system and incident reporting system will effectively reduce crime rates.
The solution provides the following intelligent analysis functions for efficient case investigation:

Facial recognition
The system automatically generates alarms when detecting suspicious personnel. Facial recognition accuracy exceeds 95 percent, and license plate recognition accuracy exceeds 99 percent.

Intelligent search
The system can quickly locate recorded objects and identify features, improving search and video analysis efficiency by nearly 25 percent.

Video synopsis
Several hours of recorded video can be aggregated into minutes. For example, a 50-minute video clip can be aggregated down to two minutes.

Intelligent applications

Track analysis and real-time surveillance provide valuable clues for case and incident investigations.

Intelligent road surveillance also greatly improves traffic control in Mauritius. Specifically, road surveillance improves road capacity, thereby decreasing the rate of roadway accidents by 45 percent. In addition, the system supports vehicle identification (such as cloned license plates and stolen vehicles) and blacklist control. That is, the system can proactively detect blacklisted vehicles through surveillance cameras along the road and report them in a timely manner, implementing multi-department linkage.[[CiteRef::lemauricienSafeCityReconnaissance2021]]

4000 cameras in the cities of Mauritius have facial recognition technology. In 2021 120 criminal cases were resolved thanks to the Safe City deployments.

}}

|Summary=In 10 cities of Cameroon, video surveillance deployments are being installed. The project involves the Chinese company ZTE. Authorities in Cameroon met with representatives of ZTE in 2002 to launch cooperation in this field. After several decades of preparations, the first cameras were deployed in 2007. The cameras support face recognition and 360-degree surveillance to match information with a specially created dataset containing facial images and finger prints of local inhabitants.
}}
Video surveillance is offered by the National Emergency Telecommunications Network (RNTU), in order to ensure the safety of people and their property in the 10 cities of the country. The technology is ptobided by the Chinese company ZTE.

[[CiteRef::zamboCamerounReconnaissanceFaciale2022]]

With terminals installed in 50 gendarmerie stations throughout the territory, it will make it possible to host citizen information in the database. In this way, it would be possible to trace an individual from his fingerprint, facial recognition, among others.

|Summary=In 12 schools of Abidjan Russian software company NTechLeb deployed cameras with facial recognition technology to track the presence of pupils in school. The facial images of pupils are used to detect when they enter and leave the school and then the information about pupils is sent to their parents through Telegram or "Mon Enfant" (My Child) app. The technology is being implemented by NTechLab together with a local company Ivoire Biometrie.
A system integrator in Côte d’Ivoire, Ivoire Biométrie, has connect 24 cameras in Abidjan schools to FindFace Multi (2 cameras in each of 12 schools).
[[CiteRef::ntechlabCaseStudyAlerts22]]

The facial recognition system also makes it possible to control the presence of authorized visitors only on the territory of the school establishment. It reacts instantly to the appearance of unwanted individuals both in the schoolyard and in the perimeter. It identifies faces in real-time video feeds, checks them against watchlists, and sends alerts to security.

|Summary=In October 2020 the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration deployed equipment for biometric control of those crossing the country's borders. It is uknown what software and dataset is used by the Directorate, however it is stated that the dataset about the local inhabitants is connected with the INTERPOL dataset to track information about international criminals trying to enter or leave Haiti. The biometric data used includes facial images and fingerprints.
}}
The Directorate of Immigration and Emigration, an organ of the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), has just equipped the border posts of the Republic of Haiti of new computer equipment intended to ensure better control of the authenticity of travel documents. These new machines, which were put into service on October 27, 2020, will now be able to take biometric data from passengers, such as facial recognition and fingerprint verification, and transmit them instantly to the central server.

[[CiteRef::DirectionImmigrationEmigration]]

These measures, which meet the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), put Haiti at the same level of international security standard as other countries in the region and in the world, according to the details of Minister Audain Fils BERNADEL.
It should be noted that, connected to internal databases and those of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), this equipment will be used to identify and prohibit access to the country to criminals, terrorists or any other persons actively sought by police authorities around the world.
