Our collective paper "Diagrams of Computer Vision Politics" just came out in two formats: as a regular academic article in Environment & Planning D: Society & Space, but also as a multimodal digital project.
The articles look into the uses of computer vision technologies in the field of security and discuss how the constant possibility of failure-to-predict reshapes security practices and consequently raises new political concerns on, for example, how suspicion is established.
For this paper, we asked interviewees to sketch during the conversation. This resulted in some beautifully layered diagrams, which are quite different from what we had expected to get back. Fragments of the diagrams can be played back along with the conversation audio.
